We are looking for a skilled Managing Editor to oversee a variety of writing styles across multiple platforms and lead our Content Department.writing across several platforms and lead our Content You will report to the Chief Content Officer and manage our team of editors and writers. A successful Managing Editor will combine creative writing skills with a practical focus typical of an Operations Manager. You will be responsible for supervising a team of writers who consistently produce high-quality content on time while also creating and editing material for our company and clients.If you are a highly organized, passionate, and adaptable individual with editing experience, we strongly encourage you to apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPERIENCE:

Our team of editors, writers, and interns will be trained, managed, and provided with constructive feedback.

• Collaborate with our Chief Content Officer to identify issues, topics, and materials.
• Organize meetings.
• Plan and approve writing and editing assignments.
• Manage schedules effectively to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
• Ensure adherence to proofreading protocols and edit copy as necessary.
• Assist in evaluating finalized content for compliance with policy, style, and tone.
• Utilize guest post software to publish content across various platforms.

• Develop articles,social media content, along with longform content and necessary rewrites.
• Engage in ongoing discussions aimed at enhancing and upgrading our systems and processes.
• Coordinate regular meetings with vendors.
• Consistently adhere to SEO Design Chicago’s regulations and best practices.
• Oversee software management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated ability to motivate and cultivate teamwork within a group.
• Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite.
• Highly motivated and goal-oriented.
• Strong skills in time management and organization.
• Adaptable to feedback and input.
• Previous experience as an editor or in a similar role is advantageous.
• Exceptional copywriting and editing skills.
• Fluency in English is essential.
